Pastoral Lead

We are seeking an enthusiastic committed professional to join us as an Pastoral Lead
The successful candidate will:
- Working with the Management, to be an enthusiastic champion of the students, staff, and their achievements, in order to promote the vision, sense of purpose, and pride throughout the school
- To be professional, friendly and respectful towards all colleagues and to address any concerns through proper channels
- To be professional, friendly, fair and firm with students, demonstrating values and core responsibilities
- Working closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead to safeguard all students in the school
- To be friendly, helpful and welcoming to parents, carers, and other visitors
- Ensure appropriate targeted intervention is applied to students from vulnerable groups, monitoring and evaluating success
- Actively promoting positive behaviour across the school
- Working closely monitoring students with Behaviour Support Plans, Pastoral Support Plans and EHCP’s
- To work with the Senior Leadership Team, SENDCo and other colleagues as appropriate to support students in the school
Our ideal candidate will have:
- A committed and passionate view of students with SEND
- At least two years’ experience minimum of working in a SEND environment or similar unit/provision
- Experience in a similar role within education

At New Ways College:
New Ways is an Outstanding Independent SEN School with two sites. Our KS3 students attend our school site in South Birmingham (B38), and our KS4 KS5 students attend our college site in North Worcestershire (B60). New Ways caters for 11-19 year olds who have special education needs relating mainly to Autism.
