Team Leader - Childrens Residential

Hours per week: 39 hours (Full Time)

Hourly rate: £12.80 - £13.40

Contract: Permanent

Location: Shifnal, TF11

We are currently recruiting for a fantastic and passionate Team Leader to join our supported living service.

Must hold a NVQ Level 3 or 2 years experience as a Senior Support Worker or Team Leader is necessary.

The role involves:

  • Promoting and delivering a young person-centred support culture across the service
  • Leading on the day-to-day delivery of the service
  • Would need to participate within the local on call and also be able to cover sleep-in shifts as and when needed
  • Provide effective supervision to a small team of Support workers
  • Create and manage an effective & fair rota to ensure all shifts are covered
  • Support young people with all aspects of daily living such as attending school, activities, clubs, shopping.
  • Ensuring all new starters are inducted effectively and supported through probation
  • Provide effective communication within the team with regular team & service user meetings
  • To liaise professionally with family members and other professionals.
  • To create, review and update young peoples plans and risk assessments
  • Safeguarding young people and children
  • Work closely with the service manager to enable effective communication with families, social workers and other key stakeholders.

  • Flexible to meet the needs of the service
  • A positive attitude & passionate about supporting children with emotional and behavioural difficulties
  • Can demonstrate a practical understanding of delivering support with dignity, privacy and respect
  • Excellent written and Verbal communication skills
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Full manual driving licence & use of a car is desirable
