Salary: £29,203.20 - £30,420.00 + additional £4,000-£8,000 per year for sleep-ins

Hours: 39

Location: Peterborough

As a Senior Family Support Worker, you’ll be at the heart of a dynamic residential team, helping to create a safe, supportive space where families and young people can thrive. Your work will be essential in empowering families, strengthening relationships, and building the foundations for long-term stability and positive change.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide confident, empathetic support to both parents and young people within a residential setting
  • Supporting young people back into their family homes.
  • Build and maintain positive, trusting relationships that promote personal growth and family cohesion
  • Contribute to the delivery of structured daily routines and ensure a safe, welcoming, and nurturing home environment
  • Work flexibly as part of a rota system, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-in/night shifts

What We’re Looking For

  • A minimum of 12 months of experience in Children's Residential is required
  •  Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People
  • Compassionate, patient, and resilient individuals who are committed to supporting families through change
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team
  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the evolving needs of the residential home and its residents
  • Previous experience in residential childcare or as a Family Support Worker is highly desirable
  • A full UK driving licence is essential for this role
