Job Role: Support Worker

LocationBased in Taunton area, Somerset

Salary: £12.00 - £12.70 per hour / £24,960 - £26,416 per annum

Additional earnings up to £4,500 per year possible through:

Overtime

Sleep-ins (not guaranteed, paid at £62.64 per sleep-in)

Hours: Up to 40 hours per week, Full-time

Sleep-ins as part of some shifts

Full UK Driving Licence with access to a vehicle: Essential

Key Responsibilities:

Providing Support: You will visit young people living in semi-independent accommodation, assisting them with appointments and everyday activities.

Empowerment: You will serve as a role model and mentor, helping young people develop life skills, self-confidence, and resilience.

Skill Development: You’ll assist with education, training, employment, and social skill development, as well as financial understanding and budgeting.

Flexible Work: You’ll need a flexible approach to work, as support is required 24/7, 365 days a year.

Requirements:

Experience: A background in delivering care and support to young people is preferred, but personal experiences that resonate with the individuals in care are also valued.

Driving License: A full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle are essential for the role.

Empathy and Understanding: The role requires someone who is empathetic, understanding, and capable of empowering young people.
