Job Role: Weekend Waking Night Support Worker

Location: Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire

Salary: £10.90 - £11.70 per hour depending on experience and qualification Weekends paid at £12.00 per

Contract Type: Permanent Part Time with 24 hours per Weekend

Given the nature of the role you must be able to drive and have access to a vehicle.

We are looking for a Weekend Waking Night Worker who has great people skills and a desire to work with 16 – 21year old's who are preparing to live independently. Previous experience is not essential as you will be working as part of a team with a wealth of experience and knowledge and full training will be provided. We welcome anyone who has the right characteristics and life skills to work with our young people.

You will deliver high quality support to young people living in our provisions in Stoke-on-Trent. We provide an emergency 24/7 on call to our young people so you’ll work on a rota.

The Role:

· Working with young people to identify their support needs and address any wider issues.

· Empowering young people to gain and develop the skills needed to manage their own tenancy.

· Engaging with young people and organizing weekend events for them to enjoy and gain new life experiences.

· Ensuring all young people return safely to the provision.

· Making sure all information is recorded and updated accurately to meet contract and service requirements.

· Ensuring the provision is a safe and clean place.

We are looking for Individuals who have:

· The ability to deal with unexpected challenges.

· Great communication skills.

· Good time management and able to work independently.

· Have a desire to want to learn new skills and develop.

· Someone with compassion for young people, who will enable young people to achieve their goals.

· Someone with a full UK driving license who can use their own vehicle for work purposes.

· Someone whom is willing to have a DBS check.
