Service: Supported Accommodation for Young People

Job Role: Support Worker – Full UK Driving licence with access to a vehicle essential

Location: Liverpool, Merseyside

Salary: £12.00 - £12.70* per hour / / £24,960 - £26,416* per annum

Plus, an opportunity to earn up to an additional £4,500 per year through overtime, sleep in's and travel expenses (please note that the sleep ins are not guaranteed and are paid at £62.64 per sleep)

Hours: up to 40 hours per week. Full, part time and casual positions are available.

We are looking for Support Workers to join our team that have a background in delivering care and support to young people or can bring personal experiences that can resonate with the individuals within our care. You will be visiting young people living in semi-independent accommodation in the community and help them to attend various appointments in the area, therefore a full UK Driving Licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this role.

You'll be an empathetic and understanding role model and mentor working alongside young people, empowering them to:

· Develop individual choice, self-direction and essential life skills

· Live healthy, safe and fulfilled lives

· Find education, training or employment

· Build their self-esteem, confidence and resilience

· Grow their support networks

· Understand their finances and learn budgeting skills

· Develop social skills so they can enjoy their lives to the full

· Understand their rights and entitlements

 You will be part of an experienced team supporting you in your day to day role. We will provide you with all of the training and development to succeed, as well as the opportunity to gain a qualification in Social Care.

As a team, we work flexibly to meet the needs of young people 24/7, 365 days a year so a flexible approach to your role is essential.
