We are seeking a skilled, compassionate and resilient SEN Teacher  to join our team, delivering high-quality, inclusive education to pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviours.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Plan and deliver engaging, evidence-informed lessons tailored to individual pupil needs
  • Support pupils with SEND and trauma histories to make academic, social and emotional progress
  • Use assessment to track progress and adapt teaching strategies effectively
  • Maintain high expectations for learning and behaviour in line with school policies
  • Work closely with teaching assistants and specialist staff to meet pupils’ needs
  • Build strong, professional relationships with colleagues, families and external agencies
  • Contribute to professional development, reflective practice and school improvement
  • Uphold safeguarding responsibilities and follow procedures rigorously
  • Create a safe, inclusive and nurturing classroom environment
  • Recognise and respond sensitively to pupils’ emotional and behavioural needs

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS)
  • Proven experience teaching pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviour
  • Strong understanding of curriculum, assessment and behaviour management
  • Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and professional standards
  • Resilience, empathy, adaptability and passion for supporting vulnerable pupils
  • Experience in special education or trauma-informed teaching
  • Knowledge of SEND, social-emotional learning and therapeutic approaches
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
