JOB ROLE: Residential Support Worker
LOCATION: Basingstoke
SALARY: £13.60 - £14.30* (This rate is effective as of 1st April - if you start prior to this date, your hourly rate will be £[13.00-13.70] and will be automatically uplifted on 1st April)
Hours: Full-time, 43 hours per week
Driving Requirement: Full UK Driving Licence is required

As a therapeutic support worker you will:
- Be part of a caring team that provides a safe and loving home for children and young people, led and supported by a dedicated manager.
- Act as a positive role model to meet their everyday living needs, development and growth.
- Enjoy fun days outdoors and try new things
- Carry out household tasks such as cooking and cleaning
- Provide emotional and physical support to allow the children to reach their full potential in sometimes challenging situations
- Build friendships and trusting relationships
- Help them to find pleasure in everyday tasks
- Empower them to make decisions about themselves
What characteristic are we looking for?
- Experience in Childrens care and support and Childrens qualifications would be a real advantage.
- Experience in supporting vulnerable people or transferable skills such as education, police, armed forces, sports.
- We want people who are naturally caring, fun and sociable.
- Great communication skills, positive and energetic.
- You need to be able to work flexibly in caring for the children. This will include working shifts and sleep-ins.
- To show resilience in sometimes challenging situations.
