Registered Manager- Children's Home 

Location: Plymouth

Salary: up to £43,000 depending on experience

Bonus: 21% Annual Bonus

Ofsted: "Good"

 

You'll be overseeing the operations of our home in the City Centre of Plymouth. This home supports up to 2 Children & Young People. This home would be ideal for someone with a background working in an EBD setting with knowledge of Neurodiversity in Children

 

You'll be supported by a strong team of a Deputy Manager, x2 Senior Support Workers and 3 longstanding Support Workers.  Alongside support from a Regional Manager and a regional clinical team that operates under a trauma-informed model of care. You’ll be supported by your own Psychologist and Therapist specific to your home and region. 

 

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading a therapeutic & trauma informed children's home.
  • Building and developing a high-performing care team.
  • Delivering outstanding outcomes for children and young people.
  • Driving excellence in safeguarding, quality and compliance.
  • Creating a positive, child-centred and inclusive culture.
  • Managing operational performance, budgets and service development.
  • Coaching and developing future leaders within the team.
  • Working with closely with central teams such as Clinical and Specialist Advisors

 

What you'll bring to the role:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience working within a supervisory role within Children's Residential 
  • Achieved or working towards a Level 5 Diploma in leadership for Health and Social Care services (Children and Young Peoples management qualification).
  • Experience working with trauma within Children and Young People
  • Strong knowledge of legislation and safeguarding procedures such as The Children Act 1989, Children's home regulations.
  • Experience of budgets and financial management.
  • Full driving licence is essential.
