Do you understand how to navigate local authority commissioning, drive commercial growth, and lead high-performing teams?
We’re launching an exciting new tutoring service designed to support educational outcomes across communities, and we’re looking for a dynamic Operations Manager to lead its creation and success.
Responsibilities:
- Design and launch a high-impact educational service, including all operational structures, processes, and systems
- Lead commercial engagement, promoting the service to Local Authorities and other commissioners
- Own and drive the marketing strategy, ensuring strong brand visibility and outreach
- Implement robust Quality Assurance frameworks to ensure service excellence
- Take full accountability for budgeting and financial management
- Oversee recruitment and onboarding, building a high-performing team from scratch
- Navigate and leverage industry knowledge, including tutoring funding mechanisms and commissioner expectations
- Build and sustain strong relationships with stakeholders, partners, and clients
- Manage a large, diverse team, overseeing all HR processes and fostering a positive, productive culture
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in setting up and leading new services or programmes
- Strong understanding of how tutoring or education services are commissioned and funded
- Demonstrated success in commercial promotion and stakeholder engagement
- Experience managing recruitment, HR, and large-scale operations
- Budget management expertise, with a sharp eye on cost-effectiveness and impact
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A collaborative, entrepreneurial spirit
