We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Lead Maths Teacher to join our supportive school in Sudbury.

You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the direction of the maths department, while continuing to deliver engaging, personalised maths lessons that inspire students.

You will not only create a positive and nurturing classroom environment but also lead the development of the maths curriculum and support fellow teachers. You’ll help students build confidence in their mathematical abilities, foster their independence, and develop critical problem-solving skills that will benefit them both academically and in life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver and plan Maths lessons 
  • Provide professional learning and development for all pupils through establishing personalised learning routes
  • Help and support individual pupils as required and encouraging them to research topics themselves
  • Keep a register of pupils' attendance, set assignments and homework, mark pupils work, record completion, write progress reports and carry out continuous assessment
  • Plan and lead on the curriculum in accordance with Keys Group and Ofsted Educational Standards

Requirements

  • Committed and passionate about supporting students with SEND
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a SEND setting or similar provision
  • QTS/QTLS qualification is a plus
