About Unity Roots

We provide a tailored, nurturing educational environment across two sites: our main campus in West Wycombe and a satellite base near Aylesbury.

Our small class sizes (typically no more than 3 students per class) and dedicated staff ensure each student receives the support they need. We offer a range of learning spaces, including vocational and outdoor opportunities, to help students overcome barriers to learning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, teach, and assess humanities subjects up to GCSE level.

  • Work collaboratively with the team to deliver lessons, support positive behaviour, and create a safe, inclusive environment where students can thrive.

  • Follow the school’s teaching and learning systems

  • Assist with report writing, contribute to developing curriculum documents, collect data, and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.

  • Create engaging and safe classroom environments for students to learn and grow.

Requirements

  • Committed and passionate about supporting students with SEND
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a SEND setting or similar provision
  • QTS/QTLS qualification is a plus
