Catering Assistant

Package Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic committed professional to join us as a Catering Assistant on part-time hours

The successful candidate will:

  • Responsible for the cleanliness of the kitchen and other designated areas throughout the school supporting the head cook
  • Maintaining high standards of hygiene by adhering to company policies and procedures
  • Other duties involved will be supporting the head cook in food preparation (well-balanced dinners adhering to dietary and allergy requirements), stock control, regular checks and monitoring of appliances

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Have experience of working in a school environment, preferred but not necessary
  • This vacancy is open to a specialist with Food Hygiene Qualifications or Equivalent

At Southpark Enterprise College:

South Park Enterprise College is an Independent SEMH Specialist School, offering an alternative curriculum to young people with a range of SEMH special educational needs. The vast majority of our students have an EHCP and may have a diagnosis of ADHD or ASD. We also take a small number of students from the local authority inclusion service who have been or are at risk of being permanently excluded from mainstream settings.

Students who study with us have a wide range of needs including communication and behavioural difficulties. All students are individual and their learning programme is designed to support and empower them to achieve their aspirations and goals, whilst developing skills to become more independent members of their community and progress into sustained employment.
