Catering Assistant

We are seeking an enthusiastic committed professional to join us as a Catering Assistant
The successful candidate will:
- Responsible for the cleanliness of the kitchen and other designated areas throughout the service supporting the service heads/managers
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene by adhering to company policies and procedures
- Other duties involved will be supporting the head cook in food preparation (well-balanced dinners adhering to dietary and allergy requirements), stock control, regular food temperature checks and monitoring of appliances
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Experience within a large commercial kitchen is essential
- Experience working with dysphagia, SALT, special diets would be an advantage

At Liverpool Shared Services:
Liverpool Progressive School and Walton Resource Centre are two services based on our site at Rice Lane, Liverpool L9. Within these services we support a range of children and adults, many with complex needs affecting behaviour and diet.
As a Catering Assistant, you would be a member of a small team working under the direction of a Head Cook. You would partake in all aspects of planning and delivery of a main menu, catering for up to 150 people per day. In addition you would be involved in catering for a group with special dietary (SALT) requirements.
